What causes a migraine: Being a migraine sufferer can be a bit of a hardship in its self, but then we have to watch what we eat not to stop us getting fat but to stop us getting another migraine.

Studies on this subject said that every 9 degrees Fahrenheit found that there was a 7.5 percent risk of actually getting a migraine or a migraine getting worse.  So we say: stay cool!

Popular trigger 2: Strong Smells (nice or bad) sometimes can trigger a headache or migraine why this happens is not that clear at the moment, people think this is something to do with strong odours stimulating the nervous system, the most common smells are: dust, paint, some flower, and especially perfume.

Popular trigger 3: Another top food to trigger a migraine is cheese the most popular items what causes a migraine headache are brie, cheddar, feta, parmesan, blue, and mozzarella cheese.

Popular trigger 4: Lots of over the counter headache drugs may contain caffeine to speed pain relief, coffee, tea, cola, energy and drinks, but this little booster ingredient can cause blood pressure which is know not to be helpful for people who suffer from migraine headaches.

Food and drinks which can cause migraines headaches:

  • Alcohol, mainly red wine
  • Chocolate
  •  Dairy products – includes skim or whole cow’s milk, goat’s milk, cheese, and yogurt
  • Citrus fruits
  • Processed meat – includes beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and fish
  • Wheat (bread, pasta, etc.)
  • Nuts and peanuts
  • Corn
  • Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Eggs
